Digital systems that adapt to people – not the other way around.
I work where complexity emerges and real solutions are needed – that is my fuel. I solve complex challenges at the intersection of people, processes and technology.
For more than 20 years I have been supporting organizations in Switzerland and abroad with service and business management, systems architecture, integrations, digitalization and full-stack/PWA solutions – on-site or remote, depending on the project. My focus is on digitalizing existing processes, connecting line-of-business systems and building solutions that respect costs, teams and the current environment. Where it makes sense, I integrate artificial intelligence and automation and act as a kind of “tech mentalist” at the intersection between people and software/machines.
I work as an external partner for projects and mandates. The goal is not to add “yet another tool”, but to meaningfully connect and relieve existing systems, processes and teams. Where it makes technical and organisational sense, I extend missing functionality through integrations with existing solutions or through carefully designed custom components.
Service & Business Management / ITIL
Analysis and structuring of services, SLAs and processes. Implementation and evolution of ITSM/ITIL landscapes in organisations with high demands on stability, traceability and reporting – with a strong focus on practical processes, clear roles and usable documentation.
Systems Architecture
Overall architecture with a focus on interfaces, data flows, permissions and responsibilities. Architecture documentation that teams actually use – not just slides. From ITSM platforms to non-IT processes and industry-specific applications.
Integrations
Connecting existing core systems and business applications – including legacy systems without modern APIs. I design robust ways to integrate systems that were never built to work together, with a strong focus on operations, monitoring and access control.
Full-stack Development & PWA
Development of modern web and PWA applications across various technologies and languages – with a clear focus on usability, automation where it adds value and gradual digitalisation instead of big-bang projects. From specialised modules to complete business systems.
Artificial Intelligence & Automation
Applying AI models for automation, assistance and decision support. Integration of AI into existing systems and workflows – without overwhelming the organisation, always with a focus on transparency, control and actual business value.
Human Interaction Design / Tech-Mentalist
Designing the interaction between people and systems: how users think, decide and work – and how processes, user interfaces and automation should adapt to that. The goal is systems that are understandable, accepted and genuinely relieving for teams.
About
I’m Marco Romano Pellegrini, founder and Digital Human Systems Architect at pcon.ch GmbH –
and a full-stack developer with a strong focus on existing system landscapes and integrations.
For more than 20 years, I have been working at the intersection of business units, IT departments and external partners.
I digitalise existing processes, connect business systems and core platforms, resolve integration challenges and build modern web applications – without adding unnecessary complexity. My focus is on stability, transparency and everyday usability for the people who actually work with the systems.
Over the years, I have built and evolved business and service management landscapes for organisations such as
Centris AG, Luzerner Kantonsspital, Kantonsspital St. Gallen, Jet Aviation Basel, the Swiss Federal Intelligence Service,
Econis, City Police Zurich, FiBL and bio-inspecta – and other organisations in highly regulated and security-sensitive environments.
This includes incident, change, service request and CMDB processes, migrations, integrations, reporting and automation.
In parallel, I have been developing web and business applications for many years – for hospitals, certification bodies,
SMEs, educational institutions and non-profit organisations. Examples include online booking and POS systems for hair salons,
reporting and ERP extensions, event and community platforms as well as specialised solutions in organic agriculture and food safety.
As a kind of "tech mentalist", I connect technology, psychology and organisation.
I actively put myself into the perspective of the people who have to work with the systems:
how they decide, communicate and operate under pressure. Based on this, I design processes,
interfaces with modern interaction design and automation – including targeted use of AI where it truly relieves teams.
What defines my work
Full-stack development with strong architectural depth
Integrations even when systems provide no official APIs
Experience in security-critical and regulated environments (healthcare, public sector, security)
Strong reporting and data-modelling expertise (e.g. Crystal Reports, SSRS)
Cost- and operations-driven decisions – no technology for its own sake
Calm, structured way of working – no buzzwords, no show, just substance
A selection of projects from recent years. Many of them are in sensitive environments (healthcare, public sector, security)
and are therefore described only briefly and partly anonymised.

Contact
Would you like to discuss a concrete project, a mandate, or simply an independent second opinion?
Please send me a short message with some context (organization, topic, timeline).
The name PCon was created over 25 years ago as a wordplay: “PC ON”.
What started as a joke still reflects my mindset today: technology shouldn’t frustrate people, it should work. Not only technically, but also with a human perspective – less frustration, more clarity, solutions people enjoy working with. Pragmatically implemented, especially where standard solutions fall short.
Sometimes systems go down not because they are broken — but because nobody is really looking.
